Amber Alert issued for Utah infant


Anyone with information is asked to call the police.

The Davis County Sheriff’s Office has issued an Amber Alert for a 2½-week-old boy who has been taken from Salt Lake City.

Police are searching for Maria Ann Torres, 36, who is believed to have taken the boy from Salt Lake City. She’s described 5-feet-3 and 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She’s believed to be driving a red, 2004 Volvo S80 with Utah license plate F55-1PE.

Anyone with information about Torres and the missing child is asked to call police at 801-451-4141 or call 911.
