Congress paused its certification of the Electoral College as the House and Senate chambers were abruptly forced into lockdown, after Capitol police reported a “breach” of the building amid massive demonstrations by Donald Trump supporters.
Vice President Mike Pence was pulled from the Senate chamber, as Capitol Hill was gripped by panic Wednesday afternoon.
