White House

Letters to the editor — Jan. 11, 2021

The Issue: Joe Biden’s reaction to the invasion of the Capitol building by Trump supporters last week.

Our future president and vice president are multi-talented. They talk out of two sides of their mouths (“Biden Rewrites History,” Editorial, Jan. 8).

One side has said: We stand for peace and unity, and the other side has instigated division, saying: If Wednesday’s fiasco was the work of Black Lives Matter, you would’ve seen a very different outcome. They gaslight at every opportunity.

They are fools who fool no one. This charade will self-destruct soon enough because 74 million Americans are not playing the game.

Conservatives and the left are in agreement in their condemnation of those who stormed the Congress.

However, President-elect Joe Biden and his supporters have also branded themselves as hypocrites because of the silence and even support for the mobs that tormented this country for the past eight months. For Biden to use this horrible event as an example of some sort of “white privilege” underscores this.

This society badly needs unity, but I don’t think any reasonably aware person believes this is going to happen in his administration.

We need to come together as Americans. Biden and Speaker Nancy Pelosi can’t seem to elevate their minds to this concept.

Thank you and gGod bless you for having the courage to report on the blatant two sets of justice, one for the liberals who, throughout the summer, took over government offices, used lasers to blind police and threw Molotov cocktails.

It seems to me that the rioters of the summer were never punished.

The Senate building incursion was, in my estimation, less grievous than the many heinous actions by liberal rioters.

Biden is not yet in office and has already lied to the American people about his campaign promise to bring unity, as he is doing no more in his recent speeches than to throw gas on the fire of 75 million disenfranchised citizens.

Biden consistently said during his campaign that words matter and leadership is important. Start exercising some, pPresident elect.

Where were the Democrats when our cities, our businesses and our monuments were being destroyed?

Biden and his puppets immediately blamed Trump for the Capitol protest before they even had solid proof. Didn’t we all hear Biden pledge to work for all people?

And what does he do after the Capitol protest? He used the race card and didn’t back up the police, who have protected him throughout his career. And what about the veteran who was killed? There was no mention. He managed to insult Trump supporters, veterans and the police all at once.

I am extremely angered by the violence at the Capitol last Wednesday, like everyone else.

I noticed Joe Biden, Sen. Chuck Schumer, [Rep. Nancy] Pelosi, and the rest of the unhinged Democrats viciously condemned the actions of the protestoers.

However, where were all these leftists during the summer when the Antifa and Black Lives Matter were looting, burning and destroying some of our major cities?

I didn’t notice any condemnation of this despicable violence by either the Democrats or their media stooges. All I heard them call these actions were “peaceful demonstrations.”

Why would they condemn these thugs when they were supported by them?

Biden played the race card by blasting police for being tougher on Black Lives Matter activists than on white protestoers who stormed the Capitol.

Facts prove him wrong: Capitol police fatally shot a white protestoer.

Biden panders to his party’s “progressive” members, who reek of hypocrisy. Many of them condemn the DC cops for not being prepared while they urge defunding police nationwide.

I hope Biden doesn’t base his presidential decisions on texts from his granddaughter.
