Silence is golden.
New York City went an entire night without a single shooting reported across the five boroughs, the NYPD said Saturday.
An NYPD police officer shot and critically injured an emotionally disturbed man who was armed with a knife in Queens at about 6:20 p.m. Friday evening, but experienced no further gun violence after that, police said.
The department would not officially say when the last time Gotham went without a reported shooting overnight, but the city did not record a shooting on Dec. 1, according to Post archives.
The city also went 24 hours on Nov. 23 without a shooting for first time in months, The Post reported.
That relative peace came amid a drastic spike in gunplay in 2020.
