(Photo courtesy of the Herriman Police Department) Police are searching for 11-year-old Jaxon Allen.

Herriman police are asking for the public’s help to locate an 11-year-old boy who left his home on Sliding Rock Way (near 4000 West and 14900 South) about 2 a.m. on Wednesday. Police did not say why Jaxon Allen left.

Allen is described as 4-feet-7, 80 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants.

According to police, they have no reason to believe that Allen is in immediate danger, but they are concerned for his safety because of his age.

Anyone with information about the boy is asked to call the Herriman Police Department at 801-840-4000.
