Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish’s Men in Kilts Trailer and Release Date

Bring on the bagpipes! Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish are suiting up and taking on Scotland in their upcoming Starz series, Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham. After first teasing the travel docuseries last summer, the Outlander stars are back with a new, exclusive trailer ahead of the series premiere.

In the new look at Men in Kilts, the costars take us on a tour of Scottish history and culture, covering everything from the local food and music to the stunning landscape, all while fittingly swapping out their pants for kilts.

McTavish introduces their beloved subject with a poetic intro, describing the country as “A land that is cut through with lochs and mountains that weave like some kind of tartan kilt,” and adding, “We’re going on the trip of a lifetime.”

Indeed, Starz  promises us “the greatest road trip ever attempted,” and today’s new trailer hints at what we can expect to see on Heughan and McTavish’s journey through the highlands and beyond. Over eight half-hour episodes, the two actors and real-life friends celebrate their home country, learning from local experts on fishing boats, dance halls, pastures and more. “This land tells a story of its people,” a voiceover says in the Men in Kilts trailer.

We can expect to see nearly every aspect of Scottish life on Men in Kilts, and you bet we’ll be hearing the Outlander stars’ takes on all of it, “from Scottish clans and the Battle of Culloden to whisky tasting and folk dancing, with Sam and Graham’s witty banter and hijinks leading the way,” Starz teases in the official description for the travel series. “Whether hanging off the edge of a cliff, wrangling a flock of wild sheep or discovering the true legacy of their Outlander characters, both men dive head first into each and every experience.”

Heughan and McTavish’s love letter to Scotland premieres this Valentine’s Day,  Saturday, Feb. 14 at 8/7c on Starz. Watch the full trailer above.
